This simple recipe sounds fantastic! I would use canned tomato sauce and various italian seasonings rather than the jarred sauce. I would also add a LOT more parmesan to the top than what is called for. And I would recommend covering this with foil before baking so the top doesn't get crunchy. Unless you like that, of course.
This would also be great with mushrooms, fresh spinach and/or sausage as well. Love the addition of the provolone!

Thanks, J.
I'm trying to keep busy so I'm not thinking about food and then I come on here and see this. Damn!
Thanks for the comments and feedback :)
My sister picked out a 5 Italian cheese package of grated cheese for Christmas dinner to go on a salad she makes. She was really looking for a container of fresh grated parmesan, but we got this as well. We have been using the Italian blend grated cheese on all of our salads, and it is great. I don't really want to eat a salad now without it.
Just thought I'd throw that out there. It is something that caught my attention about food prep.
Me too, CC, as long as I have some fresh bread to go with :)
