My addiction...

My husband and I both are sadly addicted to Coldstone Creamery ice cream. I'm talking once or twice a week we're eating there and I can imagine that's not so good, right? I just get the 'like it' size which is about 250-300 calories, but my husband gets the 'gotta have it' which packs in a whopping 900 calories or more.

Oh well... we only live once. We don't smoke or drink or do drugs, so we shall eat ice cream!

My favorite used to be Banana Caramel Crunch which is made with vanilla ice cream, fresh bananas, caramel and almonds but I would have them switch the almonds with Heath bar pieces instead.

Then I started experimenting and and ended up with vanilla bean ice cream, brownies and caramel and it's really good.

A few weeks ago though, they introduced a new flavor - chocolate cake batter! It's really good and tastes just like you're licking the beaters after you've mixed up a cake. I've been getting this one with brownies and caramel and I think it's fueled my addiction even more.

What's your favorite creation at Coldstone Creamery or if you've never eaten there, what kind of ice cream are you addicted to?

I love plain old chocolate ice cream,

we don't have one of those ice cream stores around here, and the closest BR's is too far from my part of town...
but I love to take 2 scoops of mint chip ice cream and 4-5 scoops of chocolate ice cream and then chocolate syrup to top it off..

Jeff - so many people tell me I should smoke pot (for anxiety and pain relief from Fibro, a heart condition and adenomyosis) but I just haven't gotten to that point yet. Maybe when my kids are grown and gone...

I use to be a plain ol' vanilla lover too before I discovered Coldstone.

I've been to one of their stores, I think, last year. How delicious! But way too rich for our pockets and budget. I hope we can visit once again this summer for a nice family treat! Maybe celebrate our anniversary there or something. They remind me of the old Ferral's Ice Cream Parlor. Now that was a FUN place to eat ice cream!

Why would you want to use something that's illegal when you can get legal meds for pain relief?

Anyway, I like vanilla the best. If I want a flavored ice cream I can add something to the vanilla. I've never tried the brand of ice cream you've mentioned though. I need to stay away from sweets if I ever want to kick my sugar addiction.

Hi faith--remember I live down here in Ga---turn left at the boondocks, and onct you turn off the dirt road--( well, not that bad )---anyway never heard of this particular ice cream place.. Butter Pecan and anything with bananas in it would be my fave. We of course, have the Dairy Queen here in the south ( turn left at the boondocks----) your friend Lonnie . Oh yes--much prefer you suffer from THIS addiction than the others you mentioned.BRAVO to you both.Lonnie

I've never heard of that place Faith. But I do love ice cream. I usually only eat chocolate but I will sometimes eat vanilla as long as its covered in chocolate syrup. LOL.

Ummm to be honest... I can go months with out ice cream... And no I have never been to Creamery...

Though Italain Ices oooo now thats for a good time...
We don't have a Coldstone Creamery here, but I do love Baskins & Robbins.

I love the one with the coffee ice cream, but without the peanut butter....I don't like peanut butter!

Once or twice a week isn't so bad. Plus, you are getting some calcium!

I'm not too keen on ice cream - unless it is REALLY hot outside! Which doesn't happen very often in Stuttgart...

The best thing about Coldstone Creamery is that it's almost next door to the "Grill." To answer your question, I worked in Salem for a bit. The first thing I do when coming to a new town is find out where all the buffets are and then the ice cream stores. And then the gyms. I never join the gyms but if you know where they are, you can fortify your good intentions.

I have never been to Coldstone Creamery, but I have wanted to go for so long. But the nearest one to use is about 45 minutes away so we only get the chance to if we are on one of our day long shoping trips. It seems like everytime we plan to go we get side tracked. But I will make it there some day.

I have not been there. Kind of like Lonnie above, we only have DQ here. I don't even know if there is a Coldstone in Bend??? Will have to look next time I'm there!

I love chocolate but I've never had the pleasure of eating at a Coldstone Creamery. There is an ice cream place called Udderly Delicious in a nearby town that has the best sugar free ice cream. You'd never know. I also love low-fat frozen yogurt which is good since I'm trying to loose weight.

I've never been to Cold Stone but I heard they have the best ice cream, so I want to check it out sometime. But, my favorite ice cream flavor at the moment is chocolate chip cookie dough.

We almost always just buy ice cream at the commissary. It's too expensive to go get it somewhere else very often. I tend to stick with ice cream flavors that are mostly chocolate, with something else in them as well. I also really like coffee flavored ice cream, but usually it's too expensive, too.

I have never been to this store...which is probably a good thing, otherwise I might be addicted as well. I love all ice cream, but I usually pick something with chocolate and maybe peanut butter or caramel.

Coldstone is a little out of my cost-conscious price range, given that I could buy a whole gallon of good on-sale ice cream and all of the extra fixings for nearly the same price as one serving at Coldstone. Think "Friday Night Ice Cream Bar" at home with the new $1 in-store kiosk-rented movies for the whole family....

BTW, for folks who don't know, Coldstone is an ice cream shop that mixes all of the ingredients you pick into the ice cream of your choice right in front of you, on top of an ice cold stone. Great concept! And, if Faith's faves are any indication, amazing concoctions!

OMG! I love, love,love Cold Stone! For all the people who haven't gone, just sign up for their birthday deal and they will give you a free ice cream for your birthday. YUMMY! WOW! I want some now. My friends usually buy me a cake for my birthday! Why am I so excited to talk about Cold Stone?

I enjoy ice cream but I limit how much we have it. I have cold stone creamery once when I lived in California and I really wasn't impressed. I know, I am a minority.

I used to eat there at least twice a month but now that I'm dieting I can't go there, unless I eat it as one of my meals (and that won't work for me!!). When I did eat there, I chose cake batter (not the chocolate one--didn't know they had that one) and I'd put cookie dough pieces and pecans. Jesus dear sweet god in heaven, that's one of the best ice cream blends I've ever tasted. And I don't normally eat sweets.
