My New Year's resolution was to loose the weight I'd gained back since droping out of weight watchers over a year ago and get healthier. I hope to make it to goal this time and be able to keep the weight off once and for all. I have quiet a bit to loose but am happy with my first month. I am 14 pounds lighter than when I started on Jan 2.
I can't afford to pay to go to meetings so I'm doing this on my own with a little support from an online internet group of girls who are also trying to get healthier. Not everyone there is following weight watchers but our goals are similar. I do hope to join when I'm nearer my goal so I can become a lifetime member. I am also getting some support, recipes and a friendly ear from a fellow co-worker who is a life time member of Weight Watchers.
How are your goals and resolutions going so far? Any tips, hints, recipes, etc, would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats Jennifer and sounds like you shared some great tips.
Thanks Bonnie. I do get lots of recipes off of the weight watcher sites.
Good luck and thank you Lora.
I have many recipes from back in my low carb/diet days. What kinds of things do you like?
Does your library participate in interlibrary loans? I know I can go into my library's website and search for a book and if another library in Central MA has it I can request it. They just ship it to my libarary and email me when it's in. I love that feature!
So far for my 2008 goals - I've lost 4 lbs and am getting closer to my WW Lifetime goal. I've lost 30 lbs on WW over the last 2 1/2 years.
Shannon, I like Asian dishes, spicy ones, those that have some flavor even though they're good for you. I don't eat much beef, don't care for oysters, anything lichorish or anise flavored, marshmellow or caramel, but pretty much anything else.
Kim our library does participate in interlibrary loans but I didn't even think of that. Thanks for reminding me.
Carol, congrats on loosing 4 more lbs and getting closer to your lifetime goal.
And thanks for commenting on my weekly Quick Tips article, especially since this was focus on the heart. I appreciate you taking time to read and comment.
I've lost 5 pounds since August and a lot of inches. I've heard a lot about Weight Watchers, do you have to buy the food per month or how do you do it?
Carolyn you don't have to buy special food for weight watchers. That's why I love it so much. Anything goes as long as you count the points on winning points or flex points. I do flex. Of course there is also core, which I don't know alot about but there are some things that are off limits there.
You more or less just eat heathly but if you have a craving you can work that in. I think that's why it works for so many people. There are a lot of sites out there with free information on weight watchers. Do a google search and you'll be surprised what you can learn. Congrats on the loss so far. Good luck.
weight watchers is an excellent program... hang in there...
Blessings...
