Red Lips: As seen on D&G and Gucci, both Fall of 07
Offset brown shadow with juicy, glossy red lips. Wear a coat of red lipstick with a coat of Cherry red gloss. I like C.O. Bigelow Tinted Mentha Lip Shine from Bath and Body Works, $7.50. For deep burgundy lips, pat foundation on your lips, then dust with translucent powder. The lipstick will adhere better and the color will be more intense. Blot lips with a coffee filter between each coat. Coffee filters are better than tissues because they don't have fibers that stick to your lips. I like to cut filters into squares and keep them in my makeup kit.
To apply red lipstick well, use a lip brush and start at the middle of your mouth, working your way outward.
Smoky eyes: As seen on Salvatore Ferragamo and Luca Luca, both Fall of 07
Rim eyes heavily with black pencil liner, layer dark purple-grey shadow on your eyelids and along lower lashline. Extend the colour up to the browbone and slightly beyond your outer corners. Blend it. Brush a look shimmer pigment in rusty brown over the lids and on inner corners. (My favourite pencil liner is made by Almay. I use a stick liner that you can twist up, rather than a traditional pencil).
For a glam-rock look, line your top and bottom lashes with a black pencil. Sweep charcoal powder over the lower lid, and above crease, almost to the browbone, then add a dusting of loose shimmer.
Tidy Twists: As seen on Oscar de la Renta, fall of 07
Before you blow your hair out, apply texturizing cream. Follow blow-drying with a hair straightener to make ends really really straight. Gather hair into a low ponytail using a brush, and fingers, to create grooves in the hair. Secure with an elastic, and twist the ponytail until it loops around itself. Secure it with another elastic, but leave the ends loose. fanned out.
Liquid liner: As seen on Prada and Louis Vuitton, fall of 07
Starting at the inner corner, trace the upper lashline, making the line thicker as you extend it. Wing it up slightly past the outer corners. I really like Mark Hookups On The Line liquid liners for $5.
Before you apply liquid liner, draw the winged shape, so you can clean up the mistakes and make the line perfect!
Bold Brows: As seen on Carolina Herrera, fall of 06, as well as Vera Wang in fall of 07
Use a brow brush and powder and create full, groomed eyebrows. Use a soft gold powder shadow all the way up to the brows. You can also pair it with a shimmery white instead.
Textured Hair: As seen on Fendi, fall of 07
Blow dry hair using fingers instead of a brush. Select random sections and wrap them around a medium-barrel curling iron, realease, and then tousle hair with fingers. I have loved this look ever since I saw it on Serena (played by Blake Lively) on Gossip Girl.

Also, by doing process of elimination, I have learned to use mineral based products instead of those which contain Talc, and no liquid foundation for me.
