Frugal Update #7 - On-line coupons; Sharing the Savings; Saving Electricity

Thanks to Connie, I found quite a few on-line FOOD LION coupons that I printed off. I had never realized I could do that and so I'm quite pleased to have a new way to save. (There were two items that weren't available at my 'regular' Food Lion so I'm going to check at another store nearby when I'm out tomorrow afternoon.)

B1G1 Hershey's candy (saved $5.98)
2 cans Planters Mixed Nuts - priced @ 2/$6.00 - used $1.00 manf. coupon
Earned 3 EV bucks for:        2 boxes Lipton Green Tea (also used $1.10 in manf. coupons)
             AND                        3 Ragu spaghetti sauce & 1 Skippy Peanut Butter
Earned 1 EV buck for:          2 bags Strawberry Twizzlers
Used $6.99 in EV bucks from last week's purchase

Total cash outlay: $15.29
(We didn't need the peanut butter but I got it instead of the 4th jar of sauce to donate to the food pantry since we try to use some of our savings each week to help others.)

Purchased CVS brand Vitamins and several store brand personal items
Applied $4.00 EV bucks from previous purchase

My husband hung some clothesline in the garage and we'll begin hanging up towels and jeans - the two things that take the longest to dry. Having the line in the garage will allow us to hang clothes in spite of any bad weather. We'll be saving money AND using less electricity:~}
