I did things like this when the kids were home. I was always making the cover cake on Southern Living and so on. The thing is here...my husband is the least fun person to cook for. He just doesn't enjoy food the way I do. He eats, but he will say things are "okay" or a 6 out of 10...but, he never "purrs" you know what I mean? So, why bother? Is it just me...or does the name of this cake make you gag too?
This looks like it would taste wonderful but Iwould probably screw it up so I think I will go with something a tad bit easier like brownies cut into heart shapes or something like that.
It's a pretty cake. The style and the red and white I think contribute to the festiveness and fun of the cake. I think I'd rather put strawberries on it though. But if it were someone who loved cherries, I know I'd put the cherries on it. Cool cake.

I can have 6 different pots/pans going at once - something in oven and something in microwave.
