AAA Member Benefits and Savings-Membership Options

My family has Plus Membership for $192.00. We pay more though, because we have my daughter as an add-on - she lives 2 hours away and the membership we bought for her while she was still in college is still in effect unitl August. I don't remember why we bought the Plus Membership at the time, except that I think we figured between three of us, it would save us money in the long run.

Towing Service - If your disabled vehicle cannot be driven safely, it will be towed using the appropriate equipment and methods.	Tow back to responding AAA facility or any destination of choice up to 3 miles.	Tow back to responding AAA facility or any destination of choice up to 100 miles.

BatteryService - Starting your vehicle by applying an electrical boost to the battery.	Free Covered Service	Free Covered Service

Tire Change - Removing a flat tire from your vehicle and replacing it with your spare.	Free Covered Service	Free Covered Service

Out of Fuel Service - Providing a sufficient amount of gasoline to enable your vehicle to reach the closest open service station.	Fuel Cost at current pump prices	Free Covered Service

Locked Out Service - Service providers equipped with the appropriate tools will try to enter your vehicle.	Entry to vehicle or locksmith services up to $50	Entry to vehicle or locksmith services up to $100

Stuck Vehicle Service - Remove your vehicle from a ditch or mud, as long as it can be safely reached from a normally traveled road.	One service truck and driver dispatched	Basic coverage plus a second truck and operator if required

Emergency Check Acceptance - If emergency service or repairs are not covered by your AAA membership, show your AAA card and you can pay for the service or the repairs with a personal check.	up to $250	up to $250

Auto Travel Accident Expense - AAA will reimburse you for certain expenses, such as car rental fees, lodging and meals associated if your vehicle is disabled on a trip.	up to $200	up to $700

Legal Defense Reimbursement - If you are charged with a motor vehicle violation that you believe is unjust you may be reimbursed for legal expenses.	up to $1,000 for attorney's fees	up to $2,000 for attorney's fees

Crime Prevention Reward - Reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone who steals or vandalizes your vehicle.	up to $1,000	up to $2,000

We've had AAA Plus for the past 20 years or so. We hardly ever use it though. But it's great when we need it.

My family pays $192 for *Plus* membership. That's for my husband and myself and my daughter is an add-on - I seem to recall we paid $50 extra to add her. Initially she was 2 hours away at school and driving home fairly often. We wanted to be sure she was safe. We're up for renewal in August of this year. We're thinking of adding her and her husband for another year as part of their Christmas present.

Ours is slightly less, but worth is for peace of mind. I had to call them to jump start my car a few months ago.

We have the basic, but as soon as we get some extra money, we are going to upgrade. It is definitely helpful if your car is in trouble.

We first signed up when AAA was moving their mid-atlantic offices to delaware and they offered us a special rate. It cost us $50 to sign up with basic. We went on a cross country trip and felt it was worth it for the peace of mind. Then we renewed and it cost us $89. That year my hubby's car had nothing but trouble and we ended up towing it FOUR times. It saved us money just in towing alone. Yes, car insurance will reimburse for towing, but when it's tight just to come up with the intital expense and painful to wait for reimbursement, AAA can't be beat since they're right there. I won't go without their membership now. I've learned to make it more worth it by using their discounts, too. :)

I have AAA on my dodge.. But, the sad thing is that I can't drive it anymore. The brakes are gone and the transmission is on its last legs. I will have to do something about that junker soon. I hope I can still pay for AAA on my father-in-law's car. He's letting us drive it and take care of it, he pays the insurance and for tags.
