a muscle or whatever in my neck this morning. The alarm went off and I did what I usually do and hit snooze and rolled over to go back to sleep. When I rolled over I moved my head to get my neck just right on the pillow and ACK I pulled something. It has hurt like H*LL all day. There is no comfortable position. By the time I got home from work I had a headache. I put some heat on it but didn't really help. Laying, sitting, standing it hurts. Can't even put my head up straight. Do you have any idea how much you use your neck just to sit up?! omg 800m of motrin didn't even help.
What's your remedy?

You might want to check it out with a doctor.
If you decide to go to a general practicioner instead you will more than likely be given muscle relaxers and a pain medicitiation (possibly vicadin).
Be careful because when you pinch a nerve or get muscle spasms it's easy for them to move around to other areas.
I know you are in a lot of pain and I know the head is very heavy that's why sometimes you see people wearing a neck brace it reduces the weight of the head on the neck/shoulder area. The neck brace is also something doctors disagree on whether it helps or not. I believe it helps to wear it for a little while at least while you are home doing nothing.
I hope some or all of this helps. You could be in for a couple of weeks of pain.
