Mike Geary, personal trainer, suggest that you keep things simple. Forget about all the diets perpetuated by the so called gurus of fat loss. I just saw one of those diet infomercial guys selling a program to increase your credit score. If you are following those types of so called experts you are not going to see great results. Instead of following the next big diet learn the basics and you will find success. A proper balance of foods along with unprocessed foods that are high in nutrients will propel you toward a lean body.
What you need to be looking for is natural unprocessed foods. Out intake of the processed foods most often found in grocery stores and restaurants is reeking havoc on our bodies. Many doctors believe the rise in many diseases such as cancer, arthritis, and alzheimers are a direct result of the chemials and additives in the foods we consume. Even most fruits and vegetables have been tainted with pesticides and soil that is weak in nutrients.
Here are four keys to a healthy abdominal diet.
* Consume quality protein in large amounts. You will burn more calories by the simple act of consuming protein. Foods rich in protein require more work to digest. In addition the protein builds muscle which also need energy to maintain and grow. As this energy is used calories are being burnt. If you have ever heard that eating 6 small meals a day is good for you its true. Your energy level is maintained throughout the day, you don't crave junk food, and you burn more calories through the process of digestion.
* Fiber - Seek out foods that are high in fiber. Unprocessed vegetable, grains, and fruits are great sources. Carbs that are high in sugars like many processed foods should be avoided.
* Fat - You must consume some fat for proper body function. Some of the fad diets try and eliminate fat completely. This is a mistake as good fat contains vitamins and minerals. The body even needs fat for your bodies cells. Try and get proper fat intake from sources such as nuts, seed, egg yolks, fish, and organic meat.
* Avoid these items at all cost. Sweetened food items which are high in fructose corn syrup. Artificial trans fats which the body does not need. Trans fats are primarily man made food additives found in margarines, shortening, and hydrogenated oils. The easiest way to avoid these damaging substances is to stay away from processed foods.
Mike Geary (fitness expert) says you will gain control of your hormone levels, blood sugar levels, and appetite by following these 4 keys. Don't do everything right in the gym and then fail in your diet. If you really want your ab muscles to show then follow these diet tips to success.
