I have had the joy and the sorry to meet some wonderful children and adults of child abuse.  Many times I am asked why I do what I do.   I know maybe half of you will watch these the main excuse will be its to hard.  Stop and think for one minute how hard it is for these kids, families, and me.  Why me you ask?  I am one of those kids, I am one of those advocates.  Sure these may bring a tear or two to your eyes, you may think you know it all, you may think you can't handle no more.  Now I beg you for me for these kids watch these.  This is why I fight.  One final word if you are a survivor you are exactly that a survivor.  You need to be there for these children.  You are strong help teach them to fight back and let the memories of the angels live on.

That is so awesome. YOu are amazing for what you do. When I go back to college and finish my degree I want to work with survivors and help them regain their self esteems and move forward!

I am a survivor of physical, mental, emotional, and sexual abuse. I volunteer 3 days a week in a prevention agency and I spend a lot of my life helping people and animals. Being an abuse survivor made me into an extra caring person.

I can't access videos on my computer, but my experience with abuse, as a victim, has been really horrifying, and if you can get these kids and adults past their memories of this stuff, I salute you.

Kathleen all I have done with all of these families is spoke with them. Except for Justice's mom I made her that video.

Claudia there is no ever getting past the memories. Even James will have things come out even at a young age.

I watched the videos & then some. It is so sad! The hospital made us watch an SBS video before we were released from the hospital & I think it's a good idea that they do that. They also had us watch a parenting video. The SBS video freaked me out & I though every little thing I did would cause SBS...It didn't happen ;o).

Your right. It is to hard. That is why I am not going to watch those. As I know I will cry. I was abused as a child and can't stand to see or hear it happen to kids. It makes me cry. Yes, even if i didn't know the child I cry.
