 | There is currently no limit on the length of a video or image caption. However, centered text, boldface or italicized type and other formatting options will not transfer from Microsoft Word or other word processing programs. Also, most line breaks are not recognized when you publish, leading to your text being grouped into one large paragraph. Fortunately, restoring these basic formatting options is quite simple. To add a paragraph break to your caption, type the HTML 'tag' (command) <p> at the beginning of each new paragraph or line. For example, this caption: February 1, 2008 <p>This is my grandson on his first birthday. Isn't he cute? Becomes this: February 1, 2008 This is my grandson on his first birthday. Isn't he cute? To center the caption text under the image or video, you must use <p align=center> instead of the basic <p> command.

| | "I have over 300 pages of Gather mail messages in my inbox and I would like to delete them all...but I don't want to spend hours paging through them a handful at a time. Is there an easier way?" Yes, there is! However, despite being previously approved by Tom Gerace, Gather CEO, this technique can no longer be promoted for use on Gather. Look for an alternative soon though! | |

every update gather has more problems and takes away everything easy..
but i do want to thankyou Kevin for trying to help
but that
does not work....
least it didnt for me when i tried it this am
that info you gave me took away the links and did not work, but thanks for trying kevin, appreciate it
If you follow the instructions I sent to you, your entire article should be centered. I suggest trying a smaller sample article first and see if it might be another problem.
Let me know how it works out!
First, when I remove content, sometimes it disappears right away and sometimes it doesn't. That confuses me.
Second, it would be so great if, after removing an article or other content, I were not kicked back to the group's home page. When I'm removing my own content, I get returned to the page I was on before I deleted it, so I don't understand why it doesn't work the same way when I'm deleting group content.
Thanks for the great tips, Kevin.
