Ok, I suck!

Alright, so I'm a big, fat slacker!  But!  At least I'm aware of it.  I haven't posted in forever.  I haven't maintained my groups, I've ignored all of y'all's marvelous articles and pictures.  And I totally suck but if you all will bear with me, I will clean up my groups within the next couple of days and maybe, just maybe, if I'm feeling less slackerish, I will inflict some more musical opinions on y'all. 

Also, I'm thinking about writing a book based on a tv series.  LOL, I'm a dork.  But my question is, are there different publishing rules for doing that?  Do I have to get permission to write it or something?  Tell me what to do!

Interesting question! I would think that if you want to actually use the same characters so that they are clearly recognizable as the TV series characters there might be a problem with permissions, but if you just want to do a variation on the theme of a TV series there should be no problem. But that is just my guess. Advice? Write the book and then ask a publisher. Without seeing the quality and 'gist' of what you are writing I am sure no required permissions would be granted anyway.

I am not sure what the rules are, JK, but the TV show, "My Name is Earl"?..lol, I was married to the guy they based the show on...he doesn't get any say in the show, ha,ha......sure was an interesting marriage.....and I do like the show.....
