Help! I posted this to another thread but haven't found anybody to respond to it.
My question has to do with Image Publishing. When I try to caption an image, and add a few informational sentences, it will not allow me to use breaks. I've tried including the HTML code for making breaks but it still makes a single paragraph of it all. What am I doing wrong?
When you upload the image on gather, there ought to be a place to you to type in whatever you wish to say about the image, without using any html coding at all. You can't type anything under your image at all?
Try instead of just typing, hitting the enter key a couple of times so that you'll have a couple of sentence-spaces instead of it all coming out in one paragraph, but I bet you've already tried that. I'm wondering as I've done it before and it worked, though not in awhile, if it's something that'll show up fixed in an update.
Marilyn (good luck)
Hi Duckie Unfortunately, the way Gather image publishing is set up, we are not able to break up the paragraphs. The caption would appear as one paragraph. I am not sure if the caption field accepts HTML codes though, I will find that out for you and let you know.
Being able to edit the layout on the image text is a good idea though, I will let gather know about this idea and maybe they could look into it for future upgrades.
Marilyn Thanks very much for helping Duckie out.
This may have been answered elsewhere, but I am unable to find anything related at he momet.
Let me know if you can see the tab from your end now, if not, I will let support know about it and will get back to your with an answer.
I'm wondering if I will even get a rax form from Gather because I won several gift cards in the picture promotion.
Gather sent through 1099 (I think that's the right number) forms to everyone who earned more than $600 from gather. The forms went out on 25 January 2008, so if you did earn more than the threshold, you should probably have received your form by now.
Gather Wants to Know: What are your thoughts on the new Related Articles feature?

This is the #1 article - and there are others like it that have thousands of views from today.... you don't find this strange Luna?
I believe there is something wrong with this listing....
It's a shame, because it's the only "Most..." list I bother to look at with any regularity.
Janna could that be it?
Luna--we are talking about the Most Read Articles, NOT the Most Discussed Articles (there's really no point in looking at Most Discussed, anyway...).
I don't think so in this case--the current Most Read supposedly has over 106,000 views, 6,000+ of them overnight. I have never seen an article with that many views. I realize the Related Articles "feature" has increased exposure to older articles (it happened to me)--but on that large of a scale?
