I've had stitches from dental procedures twice. The first time was about 6 years ago. The second time was on January 18th. I don't recall having any issues with the stitches I got 6 years ago. Neither my husband or I remember me complaining about pain from them, or them being there for all that long.
For the most part, my stitches are gone. But near the front part of where the teeth were pulled, there's one knot, and it's threaded through my gums still. And it hurts- badly. I can't chew anything on that side of my mouth- the gums where the teeth were pulled are fine, but that spot- no way. I can't even graze it with my tongue without a lot of sharp pulling pain.
At best guess, those should have dissolved by now, right? And at the very least, it shouldn't still be causing me any pain.
Anyone have any idea's? At this rate, I'm probably going to have to go back to that Torture Pit, and have them manually remove it, and clean it out for infection. And believe me, I do NOT look forward to even driving past that building after what they did to me last time, let alone going back in.
But, if there's a problem with the stitch, I want them to see it. The incompotant nincompoop they let tear at my mouth last time probably messed something up, and I want that office to know. Since there are about 12 doctors who practice there, I have a feeling it won't be hard to get a different one to look at it.
But after that last visit, I can tell you right now, they'll have to drug me up with a LOT just to get my mouth open. And I'm going to have to have someone drive me, after I take several xanax.
