It may seem silly, but I'm very excited about a purchase I made today. I have a study/office that the former owners of our house had built in the corner of the garage. I use it to "get away from it all" and do my on-line stuff, writing, and whatever the heck else I want!
Well, the former owners had a wall-unit air conditioner installed when they built in the office --by the way, he ran a business from the office and it is fully wired, etc. -- very nice!
But, it gets cold when the temperature drops. I had a small, inexpensive space heater we bought a couple of years ago, and it worked fine, though had limited capacity. It finally died.
We won a $25 Bed, Bath & Beyond Gift card at a New Year's party and I have about 30 $20% off coupons, so I set off this evening to get myself a new heater. I found a really nice one - convertible digital tower heater fan. Pretty fancy--quite a step up from the $25.00 one I had. Anyway, the heater was priced $49.99. I used the 20% off coupon and the $25 gift card and with tax walked out with a $16.50+ Bionaire fan that oscillates, has programmable memory AND a remote!
