I was asked about this photo and two responses by email made me laugh.

One was that I'd done a great job 'colorizing an old photo' -

The other one was to ask what the sign above the building said.  They'd guessed and the guess is correct but no one else caught it. 

I still have trouble getting articles 'just right' since I write so few of them. 

So just for clarification here's a large version of my antiqued photo.

The color version is the ORIGINAL, not the other way around.  The image

Bobbi, that's why I posted the larger version. Glad to know someone else 'got it'. The smaller version is readable only if you're looking for it or noticed the point between the two.

(JEAN) it's V O A T, that's a "V" not a "Y" and it stands for 'Variations On A Theme' sort of a built-in pun directed towards the group: Photo Fun - Variations On a Theme...The river one was a favorite of mine. I love working on their challenges.

The figure still gives me an eerie feeling. I added it as a total afterthought and when I noticed the two side by side, it just seemed so twilight zone to me. The VOAT, though - was intentional.
