As I'm sure most of you remember, Michelle C. hosted a blitz in order to save enough money so that she could do a Gather Shower for me. And boy did she! She worked long and hard posting pictures and commenting so that she was able to save $30 to purchase gifts for me. Not only did it not stop there, but many of you did your best to comment, comment, comment so that she could reach her goal. And the very generous Mary K. sent her a Target gift card so that I might be able to get a few things instead of just one because as you all know $30 does not go to far these days! So I have to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who were kind enough to do this for me...especially you Michelle...I don't think I can ever thank you enough for doing this for me! I never in my wildest dreams would think I would meet the kind of friends that I have found here on Gather and I can't thank God enough for that! So thank you and thanks again a million times over!!!!
Now for the gifts!!! The first one I received was this infant tub which is rather cool I must say!
It has a system where the dirty water flows right out of the side making the water clean and fresh for Jacob during his entire bath. Now who wouldn't like one of those??? I wish I could figure out a way to install one in my bathroom for myself!!! And another cool feature is that it has what they call "Temp-Assure" where the gage will show blue if it's to cold, green if it's just right and red if it's to hot...making sure Jacob gets the perfect bath every time!!! I can't wait to try it out on him!!!
The next box I received had three gifts in it which included a car seat protector, 3 bottles that help reduce colic (I was colic...my poor mother...so I'm taking precautions) and a five pack of washcloths! Now who doesn't need those for a new baby???? Here's the picture.
So as you can see I did very well! Or shall I say Jacob scored BIG time from my friends here at Gather!!! Again thank you all so much for doing this! There is honestly no other social networking site that is better than this one and mostly because of all of you!

Congratulations.
waiting for the photo's to begin, life with children is grand, I love being a grandmother.
Spoil them, send them home, well all but two that live with me any how.
God Bless you and your family always D...................................................................
Besos to the baby!
My daughter's baby had colic and the pediatrician kept saying, "Some babies have colic, even with breastfed mothers." Well, we read something on a La Leche League blog (a support group for breastfeeding moms), and it said to give up dairy products temporarily and see if it helped. My granddaughter wasn't colicky within five days and later when my daughter resumed drinking milk again, the baby had outgrown the problem.
Every little bit does help when you have a little one on the way!
Love that tub.
I would have loved to have that baby tub when Ab was little. Its pretty neat. Enjoy your stuff.
