Hornets
For all their noise
And busy hive hubbub
Are stirred to retaliation
For nearby vibrations and loud noises
Reminiscent of tired people
Whose anger flares as riled
Irascible
Hornets

I tend to stay away from hornets but your poem was good...really good.
You did this rictameter thing very well. Bravo.
Thank you, Bhawana.
Thank you, Cheryl.
My pleasure, Jeff. Thank you.
They sure don't stand for much intrusion, Marianne, do they! Thank you for the nice compliment.
They do instill fear, don't they, Cristina! They remind me of third strike inmates with nothing to lose. Considering their papery hives don't survive the season, perhaps they have a reason. Personally, I try to get rid of the hives around my place on the first sight of activity. Thank you for the nice compliment.
I'm with you, Linda. Implacable beasties!
Sad, indeed, Tom. Weariness can definitely lead to life changing events; best to stay fresh . . . if possible.
Excellent!
