ABC News is running a story that poses the hypothetical question: "Is Hillary Clinton's Look Scrutinized too much?" They even ran the haggy looking picture of Hillary where she is looking down, in mid-sentence, and carrying more bags under her eyes than the air terminal at La Guardia.
How gauche!
I have been watching a pretty good amount of campaign coverage (on Fox, CNN, MSNBC) and I do not recall this question being one of the more burning topics on the hustings at this time. I think we have moved on to more pressing issues, such as the economy. However, I smell a rat.
Is this a coincidence? Or a calculated move? Let me explain.
Remember during the New Hampshire primary when it looked as if Barack Obama would ride the wave of his Iowa Caucus victory into the Granite State and snatch it out from under Senator Clinton's nose? Then came the "backlash" from an alleged flip comment Barack made about Hillary "being popular enough." Women voters were supposedly galvanized by this brazen act of sexism from Obama (never-mind that New Hampshire is within the smell of New York and voter fraud was probably the biggest factor, seeing as how some precincts "ran out of ballots.").
Now Barack Obama has been given the Kennedy family blessing; Senator Edward, son Rep. Patrick, and Caroline Kennedy all gush that the youthful Illinois Senator is the political spitting-image of JFK, and he, without saying as much, would be pleased to see his White House being occupied by someone with such "vigah."
So there has to be a way to get some attention back in Hillary's direction. Why not work the sexism angle again! Voila!
Resurrect the comments by Rush Limbaugh when he had the temerity ask on his show last December:
Will Americans want to watch a woman get older before their eyes on a daily basis?"
The Left recoiled in righteous indignation; forgetting that throughout the Reagan presidency jokes about his age, mental competency, the color of his hair, were not only on comedy shows, but with news commentators as well, most notably Sam Donaldson of ABC News. But apparently ageism is not a politically incorrect bias to some people.
The moral of the story is this: It ain't over until it's over. There is a long way to the Democrat nomination, and Barack Obama is facing the Clintons, not some ordinary, run of the mill, crooked Illinois pol for a seat in the state legislature. These people play hardball and if he thinks he will waltz to the nomination of his party, he has another think coming.
IT will be interesting to see just how Hillary/Bill plan to knee-cap the Senator from Illinois; will they, and their willing accomplices in the media get him on experience? Race? Or how about an alleged past use of drugs?
One thing is for certain: Barack Obama will need a lot more than the Kennedy endorsement to get his party's nomination. The Senator could use some of the Kennedy muscle.

BTW...you are soooooooo CUTE!
Again...it will be interesting to see how they "knee-cap" him. I vote for "drugs," and the subtle "race-baiting." I think they'll play heavy to the Hispanics and White Southerners; Teddy is supposed to help Obama w/ the former, though.
Pig, a.k.a. Man
called, amber lookism?
if i don't vote for her,
am i a lookist?
Let Hillary run her campaign the way she sees fit. People should stop commenting on her age, looks, clothes, emotions, and everything else ... unless the comments are made for all the male candidates as well.
I'd like to give Barack Obama just 4 more years of this kind of treatment to show us his inner character, I wonder if he would evaporate like Al Gore or John Kerry?
If we're looking for someone who is tough, unflappable, determined, and human, I found my candidate.
It's just plain rude. Shame on the photographer that collected a paycheck for exposing this.
It's true, the person I look at in the mirror just can't be the same person the camera sees. And those are polite cameras. The ones journalists use are just mean. Both are kind compare to the pen of a catroonist. Such is life and politics.
At least Hillary still has nice hair and teeth. Just think if she didn't have that - she wouldn't have a chance.
BINGO!
That is exactly how Hillary is going to get the higher ground back. And I'll go one further.
If you listen to Barack Obama, he has not "burned his bridges w/Hillary Clinton." He is being careful not to get "too big for his britches," and get all boastful about all of the endorsements he's been racking up. Why? you ask?
Because a "Dream Team Ticket" is in the works. A "Unity Ticket" a "History Making Ticket" once the cat-fighting is over.
Hill and Obama will all of a sudden say how they are united against a common purpose, "Republican Evil-ism" and they will join together amidst a thunderous chorus of "Happy Days are Here Again."
They'll kiss and make up.
How did you look the last time you worked around the clock with two or three hours of sleep and all of the country criticizing you for this, that and the other??
my lawyer friend was right, and so was my wife--women really are harder on other women!! lol....
