Gathering for....

         For the next couple of months I will be Gathering for my cousin's wedding gift. I have already cashed in for a $25 Macy's gift card for her and I want to get one more for her. Money has been tight here so we need the help! My husband won a $1000 travel voucher at his work's Christmas party so we will all be able to fly there (the wedding is in Massachusettes) for about as much as it would cost to drive! My daughter is going to be the flower girl so we still have that cost to look forward to (I will post pictures after the wedding!).  Wish me luck on getting enough points and thank you ahead of time for helping!

Sounds like a great goal to me!

Is your daughter the only flower girl? Ask if they'd mind you cutting costs by looking at Babtism or Easter dresses as a possibility for her flower girl dress. Go shopping the day after Easter and they'll all be on clearance 30-50% off.

Because Easter is predominatly pastel colors, it can be easy to find cream colored lacy dresses at a LOT less.

Burlington Coat Factor is another good place to look.

thanks heather! last time i talked to her, she had picked out a dress for her already but it isn't too bad (about $60 which is a lot less than me being in the wedding!).

I hope you are able to get enough points to get your cousin something nice for her wedding. Isn't it great that we are able to gather for presents for people. It does make it nice when you're low on cash.

Good luck gathering! That is so sweet you're doing that for your cousin. And the flower girl dress, so cute! If you need help with the dress at keast, you should see if you can cut a deal with anyone on http://www.gatheringguide.com/ec/bridal_shops_dresses.html. Sometimes they can bargain a little, being local, and you don't have to worry as much about price.
