If you were elected President of the United States, what would be your first 3 or 4 top priorities to change and why?
These are my four, use them or add your own.
1. First thing, bring all the troops home, don't leave a security team out there at all. They have been having this fight for the land and leadership since the first humans set foot in this area, over 300 yrs ago, we are only in it for the oil.
2. I would slim down the government, get rid of Homeland Security, what have they done? Not much, we have FBI and other law agencies to deal with security, and it worked fine for over 200 years, slim down other agencies that the people are just getting paid to maybe show for work.
3. I would MAKE all senator's and congressmen PAY FOR THEIR OWN HEALTH INSURANCE, they are rich after all, I wouldn't let them give them selves $5,000. a year raises, and this would put more money back to the people as the people pay for this now, and the President would only make $50,000 a year as they have a free home to live in and we pay all the electric they use,
4. I would have the fair tax that Huckabee is talking about, it would help more than 3/4 of this country to get back on their feet, which in turn would give everyone more money in their pockets and then I would look at the min. wage, do all the above, they would have more money but it never hurts to have a higher standard of living increase.

1. Get the troops home - we're wasting way too much money over there for something that we shouldn't even be involved in!
2. Universal Health Care - I think that's really our only option at this point if we truly want to take care of all of our citizens. This health care should only be available to US citizens though!
3. Do something to get the economy back on it's feet, I'm not sure what we need to do though!
I'd ask Bill Clinton to be U.S. Special envoy to the world.
I'd create a commission on government waste, to investigate, charge and imprison anyone in or out of government whose misappropriated any government funds through contracting.
It's not their f**king money!

2. Health care, we need to fix this country and the fact that most people cannot afford any healthcare.
3. Better wages for the working class, the companies are making more profits and the employees are living paycheck to paycheck and losing everything they own in the process.
4. Changing how we vote, there are so many problems with the current system, between who gets to vote and when (why is it ok for FL and MI democrats not to have their vote counted in the primaries this year because of decisions made by politicians, what happened to every vote) (Why do certain states retain the right to hold their elections first) (How can a candidate lose the popular vote and win the presidency.... the people's vote should count not the electoral college where individuals have their own agendas)

Abolish the Electoral college.
No more "policing" of foreign countries, they are all a lot older than us and can help their self if desired, we need to mind our own business and bring the troops home!
3 thngs I would do: health care for everyone resonable, better concern and care for seniors, and stop outsorsing.

Don't think there is an easy answer about Iraq and all the other places where we are playing playground bully or body guard.
