The 2nd Annual Tomato Recipe Contest sponsored by The Hamakua Springs Farms on the Big Island is in the works...the entry recipes are being received until next Thursday, January 31 and then the panel of judges will be busy selecting the 5 top recipes in each of 3 category. These 15 recipes will then be prepared by the students of the Culinary Program at the Hawaii Community College on March 3rd for the judges to taste. Last year we had a total of 90 recipes entered....we hope that this year we will be seamped with them.
Anyway, here is a list of the finalist recipes from last year and also a few other tomato recipes of my own. The 15 contest finalist recipes are the ones with You Say Tomato...! on the title - the rest are mine.
