Yesterday we had one of those "what are the odds" moments. I took my oldest daughter back to get rechecked after her surgery on Wednesday. She lives in Queens and her doctor's office is in Rockville Centre in Nassau County.
Now we live in western suffolk county, about an hour away from the dr's office.
We sit down in the waiting room , me , my oldest and my youngest. My youngest looks up and get hysterical and is cracking up- there is a boy behind the desk and he looks up and is stunned to no end. She whispers to me, that's my friend I am always telling you about!! The boy is giving one of those hiding waves back to her.
It turns out his mother was the nurse who took care of my older daughter during the surgery. What are the odds, that a nurse working in Nassau county would be the mother of my younger daughter's friend. I guess in this case pretty good!!
These kids had off from school this week because they were not taking any regents this year. I think this stunned both of the kids - seeing each other..to me it was kinda wild. Everyone is connected.

At the airport on my way back to work from my month-long vacation, an ex pulled me to a seat in the corner of the airline lounge. We parted ways some 10 years ago and thought we did it for good. She said she's fetching her husband, who upon showing me their wedding picture, looked very familiar: guess who, the first bully I have known ever back in my elementary years.
Wow....I have a similar..
I dated this guy in 1983 for awhile, we had gone to the same school, and grew up in the same town. We split up.
Years later my husband is looking at some of my photos...and jokes around...he used to torment that guy at the town pool!
Then one day I was in a deli and bumped into the ex and couldn't believe I married my husband!!
lol
