Here is a story to prove, the U.S. is not the only country whose justice system has to contend with idiotic and frivolous lawsuits. It has been reported by the Spanish Government, that the driver, whom killed a teenage cyclist is now suing the parents of the dead teenager for the damage to his automobile. Tomas Delgado a successful businessman, was recklessly speeding down a road, at an estimated 100 miles per, in his $70,000 dollar Audi A8, when he struck and instantly killed 17 year old Enaitz Iriondo.
Delgado's insurance company eventually settled and paid Enaitz's parents $48,000 in compensation. Now Tomas Delgado, has filed a lawsuit in an attempt to recover $29,000 for damages to his car and rental expenses for his rental car. What more grieve can Mr. and Mrs. Iriondo have to endure due to this man?
Again, this just proves that Americans and the U.S. court system are not the only ones that have to endure idiots and lowlifes.

So on the one hand, the family was paid compensation because the accident was partially the driver's fault because he was speeding. Fair enough. But on the other hand, the cyclist was also breaking the law by not wearing reflective clothing, and I can see that there's an argument that because of that, the accident was partially his fault, too. So the driver wants compensation as well.
Of course the fact that the driver may have a valid legal claim doesn't change the fact that he's clearly an asshole. LOL! Money sure does make people do some crazy things.
