At last, the directory, JustHorseCrazy.com is FINISHED! Live and online with links under every single heading. My next project will be to add a number of articles to the blog, along with some news and other goodies.
If you love horses, or know someone who does, please drop by and see what you think. Browse the links, suggest your own favorites (Please!), or read an article or two at the blog. If you have some articles about horses you've written you'd like to submit for the blog, I'd love to see them! Right now all I can pay is a link back to your gather page, or whatever other page you'd like.
Meanwhile, I have decided that I am going to sell this website. I firmly believe that this is going to be a little goldmine for somebody - but I have too much to do, and too little time to do them all. I have decided to focus my personal attention to the horse line art and coloring pages at Color-Your-Own.com and the clip art at Demented Pixie Clip Art as well as the articles at Ask-Me-Anything, Animal-Nerd, Thrifty World Travel, and last but hardly least, I am Pagan.
Thus - this this little goldmine is for sale. This website has made me a little trickle of money (around $2.00 a month from Adsense), and sent a trickle of traffic to my other websites (to the tune of 100+ visits per month) since the day I put nothing but a splash page up on the index in July of 2006. Because the site was not finished for so long I have never made any effort to promote it. The search engines found it and grabbed it and started sending traffic. In October 2007, JustHorseCrazy.com had over 2000 visitors. This month, January of 2008 it has had over 3000 visitors and counting and I've just begun promoting the site.
Someone with more resources than I, and a bit more computer savvy could easily put together an agressive marketing campaign, automate some processes, add more affiliations, possibly even go to only paid links, and make a small fortune with this website. It would also be a lovely addition to an already existing horse website. To tell the truth, not only do I not have the time/resources to devote to JustHorseCrazy.com, but the directory itself would do better in hands with more resources than I currently have.
The price tag is $10,000. Given the current income, it may look unreasonable, however I believe that in a years time given the work I mentioned above, the website could easily gross that amount if not considerably more. The site sells with domain, graphics, content, & blog. You could either transfer to your own host, or I can subcontract the hosting to you so not a thing has to move.
Knowing what I do about the potential here, I would probably hang on to this website and run it myself, even at the lower level that I could manage it - but I need a nice, fat cash injection to put into the businesses I am keeping.I am doing some promotion as if this week, so expect the traffic and income to be going up and up and up.Think about it ;)
