1/25/2008 - Gather Prayer List

Prayer is so important and does make a difference in our lives. As we like to hear from our loved ones, God also wants to hear from us. Prayer is as important of a communication with God as well as when we praise Him and thank him for all he does in our lives. Praying for others is a gift to them, asking God to help them in their lives, as well as praying for ourselves for help in our lives. It is a recognition that He does make a difference in our lives and that we need him. We can understand wanting people to ask us for help, not expecting it and thanking us when we do help. God has feelings too as he would not give us what he doesn't have. Many only pray for others, many only pray for themselves, I encourage you to do both. Prayer for yourself does not have to be because you have a current crisis, prayer has many other benefits. Prayer increases your beliefs as is is a act of faith. Many times you can have more of a peace of mind if you pray over something and give it up to God when their is nothing left you can do about it. It can save you a lot of worry and making yourself sick over something. Don't think God is too busy to hear your prayers, if he can create this tremendous universe we live in, he has the ability to hear all our prayers. The Bible says he knows the count of our hair, can you imagine with the billions of people living on this earth, howvast of an ability he must have to do that. He is omnipotent and that means all powerful! He is also omniscient which means all knowing!

Please leave the first name or an initial that you have prayer requests for, you don't have to post the details. If you don't want give your name, you can make the request, ie-"Sleeplessin Seattle" I understand wanting to be anonymous .Prayer is prayer and sometimes needs can not be fully disclosed, God knows the why! Dear our Beloved, Almighty and Powerful Lord,

We thank you for the gift of your son and his sacrifice so we can be forgiven of our sins. We thank you for providing this path for us to dwell with you one day in paradise.

As we continue to celebrate the gift of your son all year, we ask for your peace to cover the earth and that all will be drawn to your love.

We thank you for hearing our prayers. We thank you for all you are doing on our behalf in our lives. We thank you for giving us the stregnth to go on, when our well is running dry.

We pray for our world and all nations. We pray that America will get back on track and that the lives of all of our citizens will improve this year. We walk by faith and not by sight. We ask your guidance in the upcoming election of our leaders that you will guide everyone. We pray for our troops who are making sacrifices so that our freedoms are intact. We ask special prayers for the young people who have paid with their lives or have been severely injured or disabled forlife, please be with them and their families always.

We pray for the crime victims, that you will heal them physically, and all the trumatic damage they endure. Lord, please help all expectant woman. Send them support, love and understanding for them and their unborn children. Lord comfort and be with the mothers who lose their children. We pray for the hurting who find it hard to trust or believe in you or anyone else. Lord please help us when we go through challenging times that stress us out, help us to find your peace of mind. Help us who have survived the horrors of  the abuses in our lives that still haunt us and depress us, help us move into acceptance that it happened and a inner knowledge that  we didn't deserve what happened. Help us choose not to repeat these same  mistakes of others and heal our mental and emotional scars.

Lord, give us all more understanding and patience. Give us the wisdom to see beyond the surface of a situation to the heart of the matter. Grant us  the compassion that you have towards others. Especially those who are different from us. Lord. we pray for our lives that you will heal our bodies and meet all our needs. We pray that the upcoming tax rebate will help our economy in the U.S.

HeatherW., her doctor was wrong, she still has a mass and is going for furthertests. Please pray they find out what is wrong and can help her. Sheis in pain and needs our prayers.

Sue M.'s friend who has stage four lung cancer.

Rick Burgess, his wife and family. Their youngest son Bronner Burgess 2 1/2yrsold, drowned in their family swimming pool.

Nana's DH Larry to get a good job

Sharlett's cat to return home.

Fran S. and her family on the loss of her niece and her neice's husband on the loss of their twin babies

Lora M, who is having stomach problems and is in pain despite her medicine.

Trish A on her recent breathing problem episode that landed her in the ER

Janet B., reports with great sadness that Miss Leslie is in bad shape. There is nothing but prayers now for her comfort and for her family at this time. It sounds like she will be with the Lord soon. She is only 46 years old. Please pray as much as you can today for a miracle or a peaceful transition to her being with the Lord.

Bethany C asks prayer for her brother Jame, who is a missionary in Africa, that the Lord will protect him and use him mightily and for all of the people on her personal prayer list

We pray for the people who work for our child protection services that no more children will die because their cases fell through the cracks. Let the lives of those children who have died not be in vain.

Ana S. asks prayers for her Aunt Maria who has lost both legs to vascular degeneration and Saturday night she fell out of her chair and broke her collar bone and is in the hospital. She was told she won't be able to live alone anymore.

Sharon B. asks prayers for  her husband Willie's stomach surgery. Let's pray it will be  successful and uneventful and for him to heal quickly.

All these  people all need healing and miracles Lord. Please touch their hearts and  lives with your everlasting love. We also lift up in prayer all the  children who are being born and adopted, for the birth and adopted  parents as well. Especially for Kathleen and the baby she and her  husband have been waiting a long time for. We pray for all on Gather who  are hurting right now. We pray for those struggling with all diseases  and the handicapped who also struggle.

Lord help other people see  that the disabled are people are people just like them...and to have  consideration towards diabled people as anyone can become disabled at  any time in their lives. Please help all our veterans. Many were  permanently injured or suffer from the nightmare they lived through,  guide others to reach out to them so they don't feel their sacrifies  were in vain. Lord grant us all blessings guide us to give your love to  others. Lord let us know and feel your everlasting love in our lives. We  ask for love in our lives as we all need love. We ask  you to help us all through all our trials and tribulations and draw  us closer to you.  Guide us and help us today and every day. Your will be done.  Lord there are many we know that are strugging financially, please guide  those in financial trouble out of it or send them help.  We ask that you  touch the hearts of those involved and end the war! Please bring our troops home  soon!

Thank you who pray this list with me! I appreciate your help as I could not do this alone. Each one of you  are  my hero's and I pray for you to have an abundance of blessings in  your lives!

Update on me: Thank you for your prayers for me and my family! I had oral surgery that went well yesterday. It was the best dental experience I have ever had. The Oral Surgeon was very kind and explained everything she was doing before she did it. Everyone was so kind to me, I wrote a thank you note before I left that was well received. I was so afraid and all the people there went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Sometimes we just need to find the right doctor, dentist, or therapist to work with.
