Call me old-fashioned but I just don't think that stories on whether Britney shaves her pubes with or against the grain, whether Paris Hilton's brain cell was adopted or that exclusive on how Oprah made her money from selling her breast milk as oil to the Bush family are real news.

Still, they're good to have in in case you run out of toilet paper :-)

I have to admit that I used to. Last year I had several subscriptions; I subscribed to The Enquirer, Star and US (or was that OK? maybe it was both lol). My fave was The Enquirer but when my subscriptions ran out, I never renewed any of them. Since then I have bought maybe one or two issues. I still browse through them waiting in the checkout line from time to time, but I really don't follow that nonsense anymore.

No but my husband and I love to read the headlines of the National Enquirer as we stand in line at the grocery store. It's usually good for a laugh or two. Is it even still in publication?

I peruse the covers when waiting in line at the grocery store, and my mother sometimes buys them for a laugh but I have never purchased one myself.
I read them whilst standing in line at the grocery store, but ever since the Weekly World News shut down, it's just not the same...

No. My mom used to buy every single one of them, every single week. When I was a little girl, I would sneak around until I found her stash and read all the exciting, forbidden news about the aliens doing weird things to the cows, and so on. And I have to admit that, until it went under, we used to pick up the occasional Weekly World News, because that one was just too funny, sometimes. But no, we've licked that habit now. LOL
No but I do laugh at the headlines while waiting in line at the supermarket.

No, I don't read them but I sure do get a kick out of some of the headlines. For instance: "Amputated foot hops to emergency room" (honest, that was on a tabloid front page some years ago - you just can't make these things up!)

I just wanted to stop by since I am finally going through what is now listed as under 5,200 pieces of gather new mail that is sitting in my inbox on here.
