A Photo Essay. A Different Perspective

Rockefeller Plaza

Some months ago there was this huge concave mirror placed on Rockefeller Plaza. And I couldn't resist the temptetion of shooting these images.

Somehow -for me- these photos give me a new "reality" about the city. Maybe this is the right perspective for a city which is magical but also a little bit crazy.

You walk by the same faces on your way to work, but they keep being total strangers, most of them won't even look at you and it's rare to see someone smiling. They allways in a rush inside their own little buble.

I'm totally amazed by this city and its people

Finding something unusual to photograph shows talent. Images with distortion are fascinating to some. NYC has a lot to offer for the photographer but subjects remain aloof all too often. Nevin G.

I like the different perspectives New York and the concave views you've done. Its true the material we're given is where we are planted, unless of course we travel and are able to have new things to photograph. Thats why Im always trying to manipulate my given material and find a different take on it as Im out shooting. Thanks Susy.
