Ron Paul is right on about 85% of the issues, and most of his stances are true conservative beliefs. Its too bad he does not get the credit he deserves.
I think it will come down to McCain and Romney. I cannot tell which one of them will win.
McCain's answer to every question managed to come back to Islamic Extremists. Romney had some good answers, but was just too negative. Huckabee was intentionally marginalized and put on the best performance. Ron Paul, articulated himself the best he has done this entire campaign season. For the first time he didn't sound like a loon.
In the end, I went into this liking Huckabee, but leaning McCain, and possibly Romney as most viable. I ended up totally Huckabee because the others left such a distaste that I couldn't stand to vote for them.
I have not been super impressed with McCain in any of the debates. He is so boring to watch-- zero passion although he is a famed hot-head. He just sat there and simpered and smirked. Not exactly leadership material in my book.
I loved Romney's line about McCain's three Pinocchios after he quoted three major news outlets about how McCain distorted Romney's position on timetables with the war. It was so clear Romney's intent was NOT what McCain was trying to twist it into being.
