Walt and I... uuugh.. We had a little argument this morning at 3 am, but we're ok... I'm tired. Mom said she will be picking up Gracee tomorrow at 7:30 am.. Its my first time away from her for almost a day. I'm so sad. I'm worried at wits end about her safety...
We will go back over there at 6pm to have dinner.. uuugh.. Worries, worries... People tell me not to worry, but if I didn't, then it questiosn whether I'd be a good mommy or not? :)
Baby is good, she is getting a little hungry, as usual. Her appetite has increased to FIVE ounces. I'm afraid she is going to get fat! Is 5 ounces typical for a newborn? Dang! I been putting her back down on 3 though, but it worries me why she wants so much to eat. We feed her every 3 hours. ;)
Oh Chris E, just remembered! I'll be sending you those coke codes soon! I promise. Hope you aren't upset. I plan on doing it in a couple hours when my man gets home and has the baby in his arms. It will give me a little more free time. hehe! He's at work currently and its just her and I. :P
I always fed my kids what they wanted. Then again I started them on cereal before I was suppose to. However the doctor had Nicholas on cereal when he came home because he came home on 6 oz every 2 -3 hrs. he was so big.
Trudy, I was about to post a THANK YOU note, so other Gather members can see me thanking you and for appreciation of what you've did and the other lady did. I really appeciate it... Wish I could thank you enough. The outfits are lovely, but you said a picture book? Haha! Buying baby stuff for others' babies is addictive, I know! I did it with both of my nieces! LOL... The baby book is cute... surprised Walmart sold a baby book. We don't have any baby books at our Walmart here which surprises me. ;)

Renee- can babies overeat? Someone told me babies tend to overeat? ::Sighs::... I'm just so worried about her. I'm trying my very best.
Nawww Michelle I said a baby book!!!! LOL You said you had a picture book! Your Walmart doesn't have them? That's weird! Well hope you can use it! The short sleeved outfits will fit her in summer, the other one should fit her now.
I remember looking at things my Mom wrote about me in my Baby book including that I said the s word at 10 months and so my Mom quit saying it for a while just to get me to quit saying it.
My girl was only 7lb, 2 oz, but if I went to full term, she would have probably been 10-11 lbs, but anyway, she has always been a big eater since pregnancy.. I wonder if she is gonna take after me (mommy).. I'm also a big eater, but it worries me. I don't want her overweight like me.
Seriously Chris? People say I'm paranoid, but heck, I'm a mommy, how can I not worry? I worry about EVERYTHING, but then again I question if I didn't worry, would I be a good mom? Hmmmm.. sighs.. I know I'm a good mom, but I cannot imagine myself not worrying.
s word at 10 months? Sounds like my youngest niece. Her daddy and mommy are in a divorce case and its not looking too pleasant. She is almost 2 and has called her mommy the B word and only one person could have taught her? Her daddy! And he plans on trying to use it against her in the divorce case... sighs.. sighs.. People these days! He sounded like a nice man until divorce came up.
The doctor will let you know if he thinks she is eating to much. my son is off the chatrs and the doctor is not concerned. He wa 9lbs 2 oz when he was born.
Nicholas was 9lb 8 oz 23 1/2 inches long and he is far from fat at 20 yrs old now. However things are different now I realize. I did start James on cereal sooner too but not that early. So just talk to your doctor let him know she is hungry all the time he will help you letting if its normal for her and what to adjust.
LOL.. My mom says she worries about her as a Grandchild... I just cannot understand how a grandparent would worry about a grandkid, its not their own kid? You know? Maybe I just won't understand it until I become a Grandma.. ? LOL
Well, I don't want the ped to think I'm a bad mommy or think I'm overfeeding her like the Dr. Phil show? LOL.. Did you hear overfeeding a kid is abuse? I'm worried I might get charged for overfeeding her??
My man always said overfeeding is better than underfeeding. Maybe he is right, but worrying about myself getting charged with abuse is constantly on my mind, so I'm the perfect mommy, trying to make everything perfect.
No seriously, Trudy, I try to be perfect. If I see diaper rash on her butt, I'm constantly asking Walt, "hey, can we buy some more ointment?" That ointment you bought Trudy, it went by so fast! LOL.. I didn't think babies get that much rashes on the butt? Well, and well, you don't wanna know where she got rash.. it was disgusting, but I just keep putting it on her, every changing. Is that causing it to become worse?
My man and I thought about when she gets older paying her to eat veggies and unlikeable foods, but is that really force feeding? What is along the lines of force feeding?
Man.. I never believed my own mom or father on how worrying it is to be a parent, but now I know they weren't being dishonest about it all.. Its kinda a reality check in the face.. LOL
Anything that goes on with your baby is something to address with the DR. if it's bothering you. And diaper rash would be something to discuss with him, for sure!
I can see why some Grandparents can get worried about their Grandkid, 1st of all Grandchild being child of their kids, plus I remember when my one chat buddy from New Jersey was in Jail for a week and then the hospital for a week (she has a kid who is almost 2 years old), her Mom (the Grandma) took care of the kid (the song Wretched Abuse on my Live at Jamestowne Hall CD was written about my chat buddy from New Jersey).
Common diaper rash is caused by at least two factors:
Contact irritation; and/or Local skin infection due to overgrowth of various bacteria or fungal organisms. In most cases, the enclosed nature of diapers produces a hot and humid environment which promotes a continuous assault on the skin in the groin area.
Whether the high concentration of ammonia (found in urine) or bacteria and their chemical byproducts (found in stool) is a contributing factor for routine diaper rash is still under study. Some information indicates that these elements may foster the progression from a simple diaper rash to a more severe case.
It is also well accepted that secondary infections by bacteria routinely found on the infant¹s skin (such as staph and strep) or yeast (Candida) may further complicate the situation.
Less often, allergic reactions to the fragrances or other components found in disposable diapers or wipers can cause diaper rash.

Love the pretty sunflower! I love sunflower seeds though.. I'm not much help for your photo, aren't I? LOL
So you not alone with that feeling.
