WRITING ABOUT NOTHING.........

I have nothing important to write about (as if I ever do), so I thought I would just start writing about nothing. Which is actually impossible, if you think about it. But don't think about it too long, though. I usually try not to think about it. But, for some reason, I did tonight anyway. Just my usual incompetence, right?? I try not to be incompetent, but I am pretty incompetent about it, though.

Wow, this computer screen is pretty bright tonight. I wonder if it is always this bright. Might be (or it might not be). There's a Verizon ad up at the top of the page. It says I can buy any color of chocolate. I thought chocolate only came in brown and off-white. Wow, it costs $79.99......that's pretty expensive for chocolate (no matter what color it comes in). But, it says that I can get black for free (go ahead, fill in your own punchline).

I was sitting here thinking about words and stuff. You take the word "disingenuous", for example. Isn't that just another word for liar?? Hang on, I'll get a dictionary and check it out. Okay, I've looked it up. Hmmm...it means "not straightforward or candid, insincere or calculating." I guess it doesn't mean liar afterall, it means sneaky or phony or conniving. Well, that certainly was interesting. I wonder what the word "carp" means. Isn't that some kind of a fish??

Well, it's only January 24th and I am already sick of winter. Come to think of it, I was sick of winter clear back in December. Personally, I would prefer it if there was no winter. But, I guess the snow-men and snow-women like it. I guess spring wouldn't be as much fun if it didn't mean the end of winter. I wonder what spring is like in the tropics. Is anybody even aware when winter ends and spring begins?? Maybe winter means cooler and spring means raging floods or something.

Haven't heard much out of Mount St. Helens for awhile, have we?? Maybe there isn't enough left of it to hear very much out of. Anybody watching the Super Bowl this year?? What is this now, Super Bowl #78?? I used to watch the Super Bowl every year just to see the commercials. But I found out you end up watching too much of the game just trying to see them all. So, that didn't work out.

Anybody like popcicles?? Boy, I sure do. I got on this popcicle thing a few weeks ago and haven't been able to get off of it. I wonder if there is a Popcicles Anonymous. Or maybe there's some kind of patch or special gum you can buy to break the habit. With my luck, I'd probably become addicted to the gum. Then I'd have to buy some gum to help me stop chewing the gum.

Oh well, writing about nothing is pretty boring. So, I think I will stop it for awhile. It is almost 6:00 in the morning and I promised myself that I wouldn't try to write anything deeply meaningful or important after 3:30 a.m. anymore. Ya'll have a great day or night or whatever and remember, if we didn't have cucumbers, we couldn't have pickles.
