Very good. I love how even the poem is being crushed until the loving arms bring reality back into the picture, as if, even the words cannot breath. Good job.
Very nice! You captured the essence--the heaviness, the all-consuming hold of desperation when anxiety takes hold--and the grace, the release from the tightening grip that sets us down in peace once more. Very nice.
Sheila H. As for the style/type of poem it is. I am not sure myself. I would label it as freestyle but am not sure if that is correct or not. I am learning the different styles by trial and error and reading other peoples poetry.

I wrote this to decrbe the way an anxiety attack effects me. I would not wish this to happen to anyone, not even my worst enemy. It can make you feel totally helpless, and without the comforting arms that I have to catch me I would not have been able to make it through some of the episodes I have had.
Linda. You took us right to the edge of the emotion--a breathless, heavy burden, and the fear of having an attack aggravates it even more! I think you described it perfectly.
