Surreal
Anxiety
Emptiness swirls
Like a vapored fog
Enclosing
Smothering
Crushing
No breath
To obtain
Sinking
Yet caught
By loving arms
Bringing reality
Adj. 1. surreal - characterized by fantastic imagery

What style/type of poem used would you say this is,Linda?
I'm glad there's someone around to catch you.
I liked this poem...alot.
Well done!
As for the style/type of poem it is. I am not sure myself. I would label it as freestyle but am not sure if that is correct or not. I am learning the different styles by trial and error and reading other peoples poetry.
Thank you to everyone for your lovely comments.
I wrote this to decrbe the way an anxiety attack effects me. I would not wish this to happen to anyone, not even my worst enemy. It can make you feel totally helpless, and without the comforting arms that I have to catch me I would not have been able to make it through some of the episodes I have had.
