"Best" of anything is usually a matter of opinion, and you know how that goes. I always figure that if someone has to spend millions of dollars in advertising trying to tell me that what THEY have is the best, they are probably lying anyway. But there are plenty of suckers out there who take the bait.

I never buy new cars anyway. I try to get them used when they are 2-3 years old and pay only half of the new car cost for a car that is "new" to me.

I only choose cars that fit in the budget, and that are in good shape to get me to where I am going without problems.

I hate those commercials. What the trucks can do on those commercials is absurd. Do you notice the driver is usually flying down the road, whether it's in the country or city, and there's not another piece of traffic out there and they're obviously doing twice the appropriate speed limit? How ridiculous is that?

And when are people going to get over the SUV thing? Gas guzzlers. They are a menace to us who drive cars because they block too much view for us. And the radio had a piece on recently when the roads were bad because of ice and snow. The semi drivers say the first ones in the ditches are the SUVs and trucks.

Patricia, that's what I'm talking about, they all can't be #1 Don't these people selling these cars know that? Do they think the public is that stupid that they won't remember seeing a commercial for Toyota and a Lexus both being #1.

Sometimes I want to just slap some people.

I always buy used, I don't have the money or financing to buy a new car, heck new cars cost a third of any house I would want to by and the cars all cost more than I make a year so that wouldn't work at all.

Hey Patricia S..... The SUV/Truck thing you mentioned is really a HIGH profit penis envy scam. Lots of men drive them because it makes them feel taller (and longer). Ever notice sometimes when a huge pick-up pulls up and this little bitty man hops out? H2 Hummers were originally aimed at women, so they could feel like a man too. Their first commercials had women drivers... what's up with that? It's a marketing thing, and many people fall for it.
