I e-mailed Ann Rest, my Senator, about putting in solar monorail for the section around the back to the train hub. Financed separately, it should get around the matching Fed fund roadblock. I have not heard back from her.
The hub section was estimated at $30-$40 million, and solar monorail could be under $10 million. The following link has $2 million the first year, and $8 million in further funding.

Spend the money on bridges and roads. More people benefit for each dollar spent.
