According to CNN, Heath Ledger was found dead this afternoon at 2pm in a hotel room. No further details have been released.
He has just recently finished taping the newest Batman movie, and divorced his wife. They have a 2 year old daughter together.

Usually, the deaths of "stars" doesn't phase me much, but this one has. I was a fan of "A Knight's Tale," I owned a copy, and watched it many times.
This is really flippin' sad.
He was a father,
so the child will grow up knowing how he died...
His daughter will forever have to live with this now.
They suspect that he had a heart attack due to a drug- over dose or not. Many drugs cause heart problems.
I would prefer to think of him in a good light, for the movies he has done, and without the idea that he may have been into drugs.

It is a shame that she had to cast a dark light on someone's death. I don't know other people here whose relatives die, but I don't tell them off for posting about it. It's just rude!
I've heard that he was renting a room from the Olsen girls, and that Mary-Kate was possibly in the apartment when it happened. He was alone when he was found dead, though.
Useless trivia: Heath Ledger was born in Australia. Also Jake Gyllenhaal, his co-star in "Brokeback Mountain", is the godfather of Ledger's young daughter, Matilda.
Speaking of River Phoenix, his brother Joaquin has become one of the best young actors out there today, just awesome as Johnny Cash in "Walk the Line". River could have been as good or better. But we do not get to ever know that when someone dies young.
