A very beautiful German shepherd! We used to raise German shepherds and had some that looked like that. We also had some sable and one solid black one. My favorites are the black and tan ones. I trained my male black and tan German shepherd and showed him in obedience. He was a very eager worker and a friendly, happy dog.

I just love dog photographs and stories. You have a very beautiful dog. And so healthy looking. I think dogs are just plain good for the soul. They help us become human. Very nice photo essay, Marco and I enjoyed it. It made me smile.

They are great and loyal family dogs. That is fitting for you, you are such a family oreintated man. My mother raised them, and called hers Sochein,
German for sunshine. Wonderfully beautiful, perfect for your family. Have lots of fun with your dog, and watch the hips, it is genetic in a lot of them. She/He is gorgeous. He looks like and Emperor of the Yard type. Smile. Ellen B

Hes a beautiful dog, I have always been a fan of Shepherds, they are great family dogs, and make a good home watcher! Too big for an apartment though =(.
