putting on the ritz.
Many of you already know my canine sidekick Streaker. You have commented on many of her images, posted one at a time over the past several months. I figured it was about time some of you got to know her a little more intimate.

Streaker
A companion
Faithful, Loyal and True
Just a canine, but so much more
She's not my whole life, she makes my life whole
Wags her tail instead of her tongue
Loves everyone she meets

Streaker is such a smart dog I would like to be able to brag and say I trained her. But that's not the case. I may have pointed something out to her one time but she figured out what to do, or what I wanted her to do, on her own. Her only formal training was some river rescue stuff, which was really cool. I just have to admit she's a natural in all that she does.
She has played on the beaches of South Carolina. She has done downtown urban hikes in Raleigh, Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, New Orleans and San Antonio. She has climbed mountains in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia. She has wandered the southwest desert. She has swam in the Mississippi, Cape Fear, Colorado and Guadalupe Rivers. She has been through two floods, two hurricanes, an ice storm and one really intense tornado. She has been flying, camping, rock-climbing, mountain biking, canoeing and kayaking. Right now, she's looking up at me with her grand 'I'm bored' expression.
She has met Max Lucado, Rusty Wallace, Dale Earnhardt (Sr) and Larry Gatlin.
I tell you what. Since a picture tells a thousand words, I'll let a few of her photographs take over and finish this little tale. She is an ego grabber, so if you have a comment in your head - she wants to see it here. LOL.

Thanks for sharing Streaker with us!!
Great article!!!!
nice photo shoot
Streaker loves the camera.
She works the camera.
I think she would give those sillies on Top Model a run for their money.
Thanks for a very pleasant viewing.
Little compliment for the photographer: as usual, there are many fine shots here, but the "explorer dog" one, with the cliffs in the background and the shadow of the cloud right behind Streaker is one fine photograph, my friend. Have you ever entered it in any kind of contest? It's a winner.
I love the variety of photos you put in this collage. Very colorful and telling. Streaker means a lot to you!

Lovely pictures.
My "Fancy" the collie is 2 now and we've just begun to train her. When she does something other than catch a Frisbee and steal my seat in the car, Ill snap some pictures and send them on to you.
I liked the photo of Streaker with the horses in the circular shot. Very classy.
And I see there is no lack of rails in your part of the country. That has a private meaning folks, but one of these days you may get the jist of it all. Will it be a suprise!
That means a hat for Streaker, too my son.
I have enjoyed the tour.

Take a look at mine Robert...
CHAKA
Gaedith & Crystal will be good mommies for her.
Read "Watchers" with Streaker. It is scary in some parts, so you may want to edit.
Alta: This furry one didn't pick me, I think God had a hand in it. I was at my brother's the night his black lab went into labor. I've never seen puppies born before so i stayed. I told my brother I was watching for the first one out and that would be mine. Two minutes later Streaker plopped out onto the floor. Five more followed, all females, but I knew which one was mine.
Daisy and I are big fans of Streaker.
It has always been obvious where your better half was! Between Gaedith and Streaker and Crystal, they might actually teach you to behave!!! ;-)
Blessings to you and Streaker .... et al...
Make juch wonderful members to our homes.
princess precious Shelbie enjoyed them too!
D...............
Of course "A Walk" to her usually signifies a complete day's outing in the backcountry. The usual dog walk (15 minutes around the neighborhood to relieve oneself), she usually takes on her own. I'll leave the door open and if she's not back in 10 minutes, I'll holler for her. 19 out of 20 times she's back in 8.
Just read that. My dog was the victim of an attempted kidnap (we're in our 4th year of court over that ). I don't let my dogs out of my sight. It only takes one wacko and they're gone.
It has to be wonderful to have that kind of companionship with a dog. I haven't experiences it ... but know other that have the joy. Thanks Robert.
Thanks for sharing this article and the pictures with us.
