And it was something you were SO looking forward too - you hoped with all your might that it would be more of the same, and COOL - and like a fool it just ripped you off because it SUCKED !!!

Shrek III. The first one was awesome, the second one was still pretty good, but the third one ate "it" (this is an audience participation comment; it is encouraged that folks substitute whatever the find most derisive for "it"... =)

And I was horribly disappointed by the "Alien" with Winona Ryder. I think that was a III, too.

I think they all do, and I usually hate any movies that run with the intention of a sequel, so the originals suck just as much to me.

I strongly disliked "Batman Returns." I had no idea what was going on in over half of the movie.

Maybe you could post the question on what movies that DID have sequels were actually good. I loved all of the "Lord of the Rings" and "Pirates of the Caribbean." Actually, none of the Pirate movies were AS good as the first, but I can't say I hated them.

I'm guessing Rocky XXVI will suck too, as we tune in to see Stalone go after an AARP golf cart filled with elderly Bingo theives using only his mobility scooter and a sack filled with fresh vegetables that he can throw at them.
