Comment Speedway: Contest Winners!

Our first contest has come to a glorious close, so let's take a look at how we did!

We took articles, images, and videos with three or less comments, and group members commented on them. When they hit ten or more comments, they were removed from the group as normal. Anyone who was within the first ten comments on the content received a Point for their troubles.

In total, 350 articles, 193 images, and 83 videos were brought to ten or more comments during this contest, for a total of 626 pieces of content! In addition, our 107 participants scored a total of 4,712 Points during this contest!

Now, to announce the winners:

In First Place, with a whopping 562 points, is Faith! As such, she wins a $25.00 Amazon.com gift card (sent!)

In Second Place, with 488 points, is Moh H., who wins a $10.00 Amazon.com gift card (sent!)

Third Place was very close, but April H. won with 440 points, and thus wins a $10.00 Amazon.com gift card (sent!)

In addition, one lucky participant wins our Lucky Prize -- Cathy N., who had 32 Points, and wins a $10.00 Amazon.com gift card (sent!)

Once I finally understood the rules of the contest I liked it.. I was a bit lost to tell you the truth, at the same time... I joined in kind of late as well..

I would def love to have this happen again... and this time hopefully I completely understand the rules better.. :o)

Hmmm... I hadn't thought of asking them to sponsor it -- I'll start asking around. It's definitely worth a try, after all.

I had a great time playing. Even though I didn't win a giftcard, it was great to participate, and I am very happy with 4th place!
Also, I made about $10 in points from all that commenting. So really, I did win something.
It was a great idea for a contest, and I would love to do it again.

Again Austin,

I appreciate this idea you had... It helps some of my pieces get more noticed... :o) And there is actually alot of images alone I need to properly place in groups becuase of teh photo promo last year I uploaded them and didn place them anywhere..

Unfortnately I am returning back to schol on Wednesday and not sure if I will be on gather for a while after that.. but I will try every so often to come on and post the images up to groups they properly belong and most likely they will be coming through this way... :o)

I loved it! I never have time to go on gather, so I basically doubled my points. If it was promoted by gather ahead of time, instead of being found on the second last day more people probably would have found out. You really should do it again.
