Obama won AND Hillary won ???

Clinton won 51 percent of the popular vote in the Nevada caucuses, against 45 percent for Barack Obama. John Edwards trailed WAY bad with just four percent.

Clinton said, "This is one step on a long journey throughout the country as we put our cases forward and take that case to the people, and this was an especially wonderful day for me."

But in a sign of how tight the race is, Obama's campaign contended that they had in fact won more delegates to the national convention that will choose the Democrats' presidential candidate in the November election.

 

So he says he *really* won, not her.

I'm not sure on how the delegates work in primaries, but Obama won 1 more delegate than Clinton (from what I understand).

Al Gore? HE was in a 50/50 NATIONAL race - this is just a State thing.

Is there any similarities? I don't know State delegate rules AT ALL.

Maybe this just means there's no Dem front runner yet.

That's good. I like the suspense.

I think they all need to work harder and longer on more campaign trail to earn that top job.

Is there a Republican front runner yet? Is it Romney?

No there is no republican front runner but the experts are claiming that McCain is. Romney killed in Nevada but that was expected, he won't fare so well in the south. If I were a betting woman I would say that McCain will win the nomination.

Did you guys catch any of the pieces on the news last night about the interesting way they were campaigning in Nevada?? I figure that it wasn't really sanctioned, but the women in the cathouses were "Pimping for Ron Paul" in the segment that they showed. That is right, they were giving all of their tips to Ron Paul's campaign! They didn't say how he felt about it, but I know that it left a bad taste in my mouth....LOL!

I don't know anything about how the delegates are won/lost, so I can't really comment until I look into it more. But it is a shame about Edwards faring so badly. I'm just glad that more people are listening to my girl than just looking at her hair, clothes.

All I can say is Obama really DID win the primary and the White House! I'm still pinching myself to make sure I'm awake! YAY!!!!!
