Thursday night my husband & I went on a date & we went to the movie National Treasure 2. We were going to wait until it was in the cheap theater, but I just couldn't stand the wait so we went haha! Well dang movie tickets are now $8.75 here during the week & $9.75 for the weekends! Ok yeah we won't be going to the movies much anymore ;o( We won't be going to dinner much either WOW! Everything just costs so much! But that is another article LOL.
National Treasure 2 was such a great movie & throughout the movie I kept thinking...These movies really make me want to learn more about the United States history! I am not one that is a history buff, but when they put it like this (archelogical digs for things that are unknown & even secrets in our history (which I know it's Hollywood, but they really make it seem like it could happen haha!) In this one it shows how much history Washington DC holds and how 2 prominent families of the civil war have decendants today who may still be trying to find the treasures that their ancestors knew about. So it is a race for a treasure (I am trying not to spoil things LOL!) and one family wants the fame & glory while the other family is trying to clear their families name from a lie told by the other family. (Am I confusing anyone yet? LOL!) And I especially liked the very end ;o). Ok just go see it when it gets to the cheap theater (cause I think it is theater worthy, but dang because prices are so high I would say cheaper the better!)
As we were walking out of the theater my husband pointed out how the theater stayed very clean. I mentioned that it is probably because the prices are higher they don't get people that don't give a darn and throw their trash all over. So we figured cheaper theaters get trashed because you get anyone in there...the more expensive theaters the more people are going to respect it. What do you think? (and I am not saying poor people are trashy people (cause I am poor)! Ok I just had this thought...maybe because the prices are so high hardly anyone is buying the popcorn & drinks...I mean $5 for a large soda??? WOW!

It's expensive to get a soda, but I'd rather just grab that than to pay for snacks too.
I want to see this.
We saw Cloverfield (not so good) yesterday it cost 8.50 a person, drinks & popcorn were 15.00!
1) they're so pricey people can't afford popcorn and snacks.
2) with higher prices they can pay more staff, so cleaning gets done more often between shows.
Just a few guesses.
Glad you like the movie! I want to see it too!
I want to help you get up some points so I am going to email you on that
Nowadays they make it so hard for people in love to have any real fun, but dear if you want to go to more movies they sell the tickets cheaper in those entertainment books plus you get grocery coupons too, Yes you have to mail in for them ahead of time but it is cheaper.
So, is this as good as the original? I'm always a little weary of sequels. There are exceptions. Pirates of the Carribean kept getting better as did the Hannibal trilogy but most sequels fail to live up to the original.
I'm trying to find a Gather's review of Cloverfield.
