Gather Hiccup? Not complaining here!

   Is anyone else noticing a trend wherein your older content is suddenly very popular here at Gather?  I started to notice this last night.  Articles I had written months ago are receiving new comments, and not just one or two isolated remarks!  Tonight a photo I published over the summer went from one lonely little comment to more than ten.  Is it just me??

   I'm in no way complaining.  This odd little surge has encouraged me to review past items I've shared here on the site, and it was kind of fun remembering neat things our family did together this past year, or different things I was thinking or feeling or going through over these past months.  Plus the extra points are great, too!

   So let me hear from you, fellow Gatherers.  Is this happening to you as well?  What do you think of this?

Yeah it can happen & I noticed the tags on the side of your page take you right to your past articles on those tags haha ;o) I made it so that I could view whenever someone made a comment, but that is leaving my email full haha! So I may be changing it to not see comments. It's so hard! ;o) Oh & if I like someone stuff I will go through all the pages of their things...mainly pics ;o)

It is probably because of receiving messages from different members to go to certain people's sight and help them get more points because they are close to a certain score! I get them a lot!

Alas, none of my old content is getting attention. So I haven't noticed this at all.

I don't believe I've experienced this hiccup yet either, but like Birdee, my email gets too full with all the "new comment" notifications, so I'd hate to say for sure. Maybe it's happening and I don't notice.

I noticed that too!!!!! I didn't know what was going on, kinda glad to hear it wasn't only me, although it was only one of my photos getting the new publicity...

Mary, I think you also had a picture posted in the feature section this past week, you know the little collage section with thumprint size pictures under the main article feature box.

I had a couple make it there before and was surprised by all the comments. Someone mentioned that the pic was on the front page and that is how they found me.

Oh, thanks Sophie. I wasn't feeling well earlier in the week and was offline a lot. I didn't even realize a picture was featured. That's great!

oooh, cool for you, my dear....When i notice someone for the first ime, i usually go back into their stuff to see if it is all as good as the post that made me notice them,lol...sometimes i have been up to 7 pages back!! time flows, tho, and time goes....

If it was posted to Comment Speedway, then that explains it. Austin had a big contest going on last week, and your content was probably in it... did I post on any of your stuff? I looked at so much content, I can't remember!

Necee, yes I think it was the Comment Speedway. I have seen a few other older posts come up with new comments since posting this article. It's a great group!
