An old memory huddles in the corner. I'll scare it out and let it become a new vision. Time loves to be center stage. Why don't you replay a few minutes of a favorite time in 1987. Thank you. Salud.

1987.... my son was born in May of 1987... I was 27 and my daughter was 2.... and I loved being a mommy. The down side was that I was beginning to realize that my husband was going to break my heart.... but my beautiful babies were worth it.
I don't miss the shoulder pads....lol
I was teaching at Beaver College (now called Arcadia University.)
Nice photo Marianna!!
I'd never known love like that before! My life was changed entirely and I've loved every day of her life.
You look so stunnig and so sohisticated.
Were you a film star? If you were them I'm going to find all the movies that you ever played in.
Your greatest fan. Salud.
1987 was one of the worst years of my life. You're not dredging anything up by mentioning it here; I think about it all the time. It was the year I lost my husband to schizophrenia.
I can't remember right now. Just want to thank you for your kind words, prayers and thoughts.
Thank you Miz Marianne M. Oh I have loads of pictures of my past - lol...your world sounds like a happy one caring for and educating your children. Do you think the world is a different place now? Salud.
Amy, well, welcome to the world - it's ok there are lots of folks who will tell you about the 80's on here! Salud. (more later, I can't see past the third comment up) lol...
some folks don't know what they do for another - I want you to know Miz Charli - that I laughed about the waist thing half the night! Seriously, because I surely don't know where my own waist went! Salud.
I was not very cultured, i enjoy all your pictures
Well I don't want to bring this post down, I just want to tell you that I love all your pictures they are all very very beautiful and they make me want to reminisce about better times in my life . thank you.
In 1987 I was 27 yeas of age, had been married for 7 years.....started having female problems and sadly learned I could not get pregnant. Was in the hospital for 2 weeks dealing with nervous breakdown and suffering from depression....took 3 months leave of absence from work.
The 'hi-lite' of that year was I got to go to a Rev. Billy Graham Crusade here in SC.....something I had wanted to do as a child and my dream came true!!
I didn't intend to be mean. But, I just nodded and said "thank you." Yes, there are some benefits to having your children come to you by adoption!

Well....I had a few extra pounds on me in 1987. That was the year my daughter was born. And one month before she arrived, the Whittier earthquake happened..and we were right in the middle of it! What a ride!
I was working for a thriving company that was vital to our defense and the U.S. government pulled $40 million in contracts and gave them to China. When the plant closed I became a little bitter when it comes to the traitors that we call politicians.
Other than 4,400 good people out of work, we transfered vital technology to a communist dictatorship. Since then the selling out of this country has become the norm while we have been too busy to care.
August 4, 1987 - The Federal Communications Commission rescinds the Fairness Doctrine, which had required radio and television stations to "fairly" present controversial issues.
Sorry it was not a happy memory but it was not a good year for me!
Thanks Curt L.
Shannon - the whole story please! Salud.
Right on, Kerrell G.! Shelbia - lol - well, they are big kids now then!
Awww I'm sorry Joy.
I have to jump over and comment on a few posts! thanks everyone. Salud
I worked with a contractor to rebuild my house. It turns out that even having the foundation and lot, there wasn't enough insurance money to pay to replace the house, so we kept working on finding a way to rebuild within budget. After many hours, I finally got ready to rebuild on Friday. On Sunday my husband decided that after years of separation, he was ready to move on and had filed for divorce, trashing all my plans of a new house.
I bought a small home in the area so my kids could go to the same school and have remained here since. I turned 40 in 1987, too. People shouldn't be starting over when they turn 40.
I don't like to remember 1987.
