Me too Ivan. I was rooting for him. I thought and still do think he would make a great President. O well. Now its McCain and Huckabee. I think McCain will win this one.

Sorry, I remember John McCain and his inability to be strong about several issues, and refusing to call a spade a spade about corruption, and criminal activity. I saw him, and Huckabee on TV. Hucabee is another "God is my CO-Pilot" freak. Last I heard, they did not elect "God", and I doubt he wants his Gospel spoken in Washington. Enough about that, it is sickening. Listened to both of them. Saw McCain on Meet the Press, several times, God Help Us All, and I truly hope that people so do not vote the polls that are taken. Vote with their minds. Ellen B

Mike Huckabee is running for VP at this stage of the game. I don't think he, nor anyone else in the party honestly believes this schmuck can run a national campaign against Hillary.

Putz-abee will give McCain some street cred. with evangelicals in the South, seeing as how Mr. Straight Talker is an ersatz Conservative as well.

I wish John McCain would either get out of the race, have a stroke or a heart attack. He is never going to beat Hillary Clinton in November. And if he does, he is Hillary-lite.

I figured that Mccain would win due to the large amount of veterans and military families living in the state. Like Ivan and Ty,I was sorry that Fred Thompson didn't do better than he did. I'm not too enthusiastic about Mccain;his stance on immigration leaves me cold. As far as Huckabee is concerned,Ellen is right;we don't need another preacher in the White House (remember Jimmy?). I belive that his former calling might get in the way of the difficult decisions he might have to take as commander-in-chief. I believe that it's either going to be Mccain or Romney.-Norman

unfortunately, the gop is held hostage to the evangelical right, which will never, ever in a gazillion years countenance the nomination going to a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, a.ka. the mormons. mitt romney will never get the nomination of my party because there are far too many hate-mongers. it is sad, but true that this great american will not have the chance to beat the day-lights out of hillary and wesley clark in the general election.

instead we will get the half-dead john mccain and the rev. michael dale hickabee; they will never win. how sad is that?
