whats for dinner? wee diva's choice! pigs in a blanket!

after seeing her brother make numerous dishes, its
 
was finally time for my wee diva's turn in the
 
kitchen.
 
 
her choice?
 
pigs in a blanket!
 
 
ingredients:
 
8 hot dogs
 
2 sticks of string cheese
 
1 pack of crescent rolls
 
your choice of mustard or ketchup for dipping
 
 
preheat your oven to 350°. make a slit in each hot
 
dog.

pull apart the string cheese and stuff the hot dog
 
with as much cheese as the slit can hold.

separate the crescent rolls and wrap them firmly
 
around each hot dog.

place the wrapped hot dogs on a foil lined pan,
 
crescent seam face down.

bake according to crescent roll instructions. enjoy!

Aww, look at her! She did so well at making those. I've never heard of them being stuffed with string cheese but it sounds delish.
lera, they tasted better than i thought they would. and she had a ball preparing them.

i LUV that too. i guess she nevah realized she could see herself in it. lol! he was gripping the knife, even after i showed him how to hold it, like he was killing the hot dog all over again.

I always thought pigs in a blanket were breakfast sausages rolled in a pancake.
I get the frozen ones of the miniature dogs rolled in pastry sometimes for parties where I know they're going to eat more than I want to make. Looks like the kiddles had fun helpng with this.

She did a great job!!!! We also do the mini ones as my son (14) loves them. I love the idea of putting the cheese in them before you wrap them too.
