Thanks Austin, I never knew what this was, anime, don't really watch such things I think it's more geared to kids, but I don't despise it, it shows that someone does a lot of work to produce them and looking at it that way, it's great work, it's they way to sneak into the real world in the back door. I give them points because it's hard work but it's not my cup of tea. There's a market for anything you can think of out there, that's why we can choose what we want. Makes life good.

I don't think most people know what anime is. Serialized stories like Dragonball Z may not attract adults, but shows like Ghost in the Shell (an animated Mission Impossible), Full Metal Alchemist (12th century magic in an early 20th century setting) or Death Note (kicks Sherlock Holmes's a**!) are definitely for adults. Complicated plots, characters that evolve, and animation on a level that's approximates live acting in some cases. Fans of soap operas would love Escaflowne, and if you're film history buff, Samurai 7 is a great rendition of the film, The Seven Samurai, known in America as The Magnificent Seven. Jazz fans would go for Cowboy Bebop, with a score written by Yoko Kono, one's Japan's top jazz composers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-TAxm00jOg. Finally, fans of sci-fi mind benders like the Matrix or The 13th Floor would like The Big O.

Try it-you'll like it. By the way, I'm 50-you're never too old to enjoy what the world has to offer.

I really love anime. I think it must be this generation. When my brother was younger he liked it as well. I'm embaressed about my addiction to anime. My friend harass me about it in a joking way. But thanks for the info.
