My complaints with this recipe are minor. I am not a fan of very many jarred pasta sauces, so I would make mine from scratch. Also, where is the ricotta? How can you make lasagna without ricotta?
I do think adding the alfredo sauce would be a fine addition, if you can find a good jarred one.

Good point, Mog. I didn't think of that... Maybe I'll just double the parm instead of using the Alfredo sauce.
Thanks!
But I am a huge fan of the crock pot and would love more recipes for using it.
Thanks Shannon, now about that ice.......
Mushrooms! I forgot the mushrooms! Now you have me thinking about spinach too...
Yeah, I can't believe I forgot mushrooms, Ana!
I cheat heavily when making lasagna. I buy the frozen ricotta filled ravioloi and layer them with mozzarella, and sliced frozen meatballs, but usually make my own tomato sauce since I don't usually like the jarred sauces either.
I can't do the frozen meatballs.
I use cottage cheese in my lasagna too, ricotta is more expensive, and my family is on a budget. Cut corners where I can. It actually tastes pretty good.
Oh mushrooms are a favorite of mine too! Yum!
That is why I rarely do it, Tammy. It tends to get overcooked, and that is the worst thing you can do to pasta!
I love anything i can do in the crock pot
And I agree with you on that one, Larry!

appreciate it.
I like La Famiglia Del Grosso pasta sauce. Which costs about $9.00 a jar at Publix (or can be ordered online). The sauce tastes really good.
I made ziti for Christmas Eve, using La Famiglia Del Grosso "Uncle Joe's Vodka Celebration" & "Chef John's Tomato Basil Masterpiece" plus shredded Italian Cheese blend, it was very good. My Husband's family wanted to know how I made it ;-)
