I could taste the salt, hear the waves crash to shore, than slide and curl around my feet,as I stood beside the ocean....I love this!

Jim, this rictameter of yours swings me along -- as the childhood picture in my little girl book of the owl and the pussy cat in the little boat made of a oak leaf. They were scooted along by the ocean's whims as ..."On swells of moon and sun brought tides
To kiss a shore and stay."

Jim, I am new to the lure of the sea and vast oceans. New by at least a year :)
I can just feel the passages here too..the deep mysteries waves and open expanse weave in our mind.
Your poems always inspire me to go out and look at the beauty of the world.

This is the kind of poem to insert into a bottle, then seal it with a cork and through it into the ocean and wait to hear about its circumnavigation of the globe in your dreams, when the lady who wakes us all comes calling.....

I like this, Jim, both for its wonderful verse and the multiple meaning of the word passage, especially as a journey or a section of writing. For me, they both fit.
