Why is it that the news chooses to numb us with stories of American Idol and ice incased Moose, but can't take the time to let American's know about the possible Impeachment of the Vice President?

I can't stress this more: this is black letter law.
It's been a mystery to me why the American Congress and the American people haven't moved on this.
Then, the light came on.
The attack dog, Ken Starr, and his 80 million dollar attack on Bill Clinton under the cover of investigating Bill Clinton's involvement in the Whitewater Saving and Loan when Mr. Clinton was governor never made sense to me. I had to chalk it up to mean politics, simply the Republicans get to take down a Democrat, and there's no reason beyond that. Human nature.
It you think that's cynical, get yourself a cup-o-joe.
Let's back the calender up. We -- meaning the American people and the American Congress, did the same thing to Richard Nixon. Sure, Mr. Nixon and his hatchet men were mean people, breaking into Democratic Headquarters and all. What Mr. Nixon and his people got in trouble for was lying about it.
(Balance for a moment Mr. Nixon's dirty tricks with 'swift boating' and, God, this is great, the McCain 'black baby' that blew McCain out of the race with Mr. Bush. I think it was pat Buchanan who said the Republicans come down from the hill to shot their own. People laugh at this crap now. Doesn't matter the damage done or lies told)
But really, I think we can all agree that's dirty tricks and we should whack fingers for it. But, to remove a President from office for being a politician seems a bit over the top.
I, personally, thought Mr. Nixon was a good, if not great president. Sure, the Congress effectively ended the Vietnam war by cutting off the funding (that's when the Congress had balls and took responsibility) but it was Nixon's peace talks in Paris, along with Nixon not challenging Congress' move.
Nixon opened the door to China. He began the peace with the USSR. Ronny Raygun couldn't have been Ronny Raygun if not for Nixon. I think Mr. Nixon could have been the last of the real Republicans. This crowd running for president now, having a penis measuring contest to see how can talk most about killing peoples around the world is something Richard Nixon would never understand; Ronny Raygun would giggle like a school girl.
Like Bill Clinton today, many people are operant conditioned to hate Richard Nixon, a hate people will spew from their rocking chairs while they drool down their shirts decades from now, not understanding the hate, drummed into them by the thump of years of pounding by the media boots.
OK, that's an abuse of cynical.
Here's my thought: The impeachment of Bill Clinton was payback for the impeachment of Richard Nixon.
When we get the Hatfield's and McCoy's going at it, the only way it'll stop is if one side stops. We now, as a society, pay for our pettiness of the past. We can't impeach George W. Bush, even if he has unholy sex with children and eats them for breakfast.
Because, it would look like payback.
I think we should ship all the paparazzi to Baghdad and have them cover all the Celebs there.
How diabolical would that be?
