Bogie is now nine weeks and few days old, and he is growing fast! I haven't managed to photograph him every day but a time or two a week seems to be working. He is spending more time out of his pen and interacting with the other dogs in the house. Sadie has designated herself official puppysitter. She romps, and wrestles, and plays with him. When she's had enough she lets us know by jumping on a chair or in our laps. Usually by that point Bogie is so worn out that he's ready for a nice long nap.
The most fun happens out in the yard. Sadie loves to run around with a toy and entice Bogie into a game of Chase that turns into a game of Tug 'o War.

Spike and Bogie are working out their relationship as well. Spike weighs only 9 pounds so it is important that Bogie always be respectful (he already outweighs Spike). A few lessons in submission at this age are a good thing.

Bogie loves to explore and is forever on the prowl.

Being a boxer baby, he is always ready to play.

The fence drew his attention as there are dogs next door. No doubt he was doing a little bit of eavesdropping.

Little puppies do tire out though and it was almost time to go in and rest.

A sleeping pup (with a full belly) is a beauitful thing.

My dog likes a pillow under his head too
That eavesdropping photo by the fence is too precious!
Thanks for keeping us in the loop!
Ina - he is putting on weight like crazy - we think that the first worming the breeder gave him wasn't adequate and the second one he got with our vet has made the difference.
Holly - it is tempting but they are soooo much work. It's definitely worth it though.
Thanks Cecile - I guess they're just gonna keep coming.
Bob - the moment was too cute not to capture.
Jennifer - he is so funny when he sleeps - often it is on his back which is not something I've seen a dog do before. Maybe he will outgrow it?
Thanks Sue - it's fun to do these and chart his progress.
Duckie - that makes me smile - yes, I guess he really has become part of the Gather neighborhood.
Thanks Katrina - boxers do have really unique faces. He will grow into his though.
Thanks Amanda and Priscilla - I appreciate you stopping by.
Nana - it is funny to watch when he eats his tummy fills out and then, well, it empties out - I feel like we should have stock in paper towels. :-)
Thanks Katherine - I really do like his coloring as well.
shannon - oh, I wish I had the time to photograph him every day.
Lisa - they are a popular breed - and so people oriented.
Auntie Faith - unfortunately, weekly pictures will have to suffice :-) I am tempted to find a way to mark just how much he is growing - kinda like marking the door frame with kids.
Thanks Natalie - we sure are in love with this little one.
flit - it is odd to see him lying on the hard ground with just his head on a pillow but I guess he is comfortable.
Puppies and kittens, to me, are like the difference Erma Bombeck used to point out between raising girls and boys. Puppies, like she said about boys, are very honest. "What's the puppy doing?" Peeing on the carpet, but scold him once and he might never do it again. "What's the kitten doing?" Uh, overturning the trash can to get at the bacon grease, and if you fuss at her, she'll do it next time just to make you mad...
Do all boxers have white paws? I don't see boxers very often.
(Who am I fooling, I'll end up with another furry dependent soon enough. I can tell.)
